Womens Book Club; Our Power Hour
We are busy Moms who meet at our Womens Book Club for fun, meaning, and fellowship. We love to get together because each of us are so unique.
We inspire and challenge each other to become better people, for ourselves, our families, and especially for God.
Are you interested? Do you need help getting started?
Begin with our current book. Read along with us, or open your heart and thoughts to a friend.
We have tried to provide links to all the books so that you can get them right away to start enjoying great books.
OK, I just tripped on this Hot Book!
Get this one!
Have some super fun with this read. If you are wanting to read an open and honest book with "real talk" then this is the book for you. Kevin Leman has great perspective on how to please your husband or wife in the bedroom AND how what you do outside the bedroom affects that. He is VERY real and open, which I am always looking for. I highly recommend this book!

One of my Favorite "Mom" Books.:
This little gem of book was given to me by an Incredible Woman and Mom. It is filled with funny short stories from Gwendolyn Mitchel Diaz; Mom of four boys. (I wish she was in our women's book club!)
Here she comes to save the day... If only she can find the keys! This book is loaded with insightful reflections to inspire mothers everywhere.Whether you are carpooling your kids to soccer games, helping them finish a wait-till-the-last-minute science project or lying awake with an eye on the clock as curfew slowly approaches, all of us need to look like Mighty Mom now and then--even if we can't find the keys.
At home, with my own 'personal womens book club', I am challenging myself with a classic book that I started years ago, but never finished. Now, I am trying to get up a bit earlier and start my day with it. It's called Improving Your Serve. By a powerful, no-nonsense writer, Charles (Chuck) Swindoll, he is really challenging me deeply!
In our church we are reading, The Purpose Driven Life. We might even get into this book at our Womens Book Club. Our pastor is going to go through it with us in his sermons. I think I will actually get this one read if I know he is taking us though it!
It's weird how powerful books don't get finished. And if/when you do finish them, there can be that huge let down of, "Now, what?" I hope I can take to heart the advice in this book, and truly live it out. I know there has to be more to life than what I see on T.V. I want to really live life. Here's to Chapter 1!
Past Books Of Our Womens Book Club:
Captivating, Unveiling the Mystery of a Women's Soul.
by John and Staci Eldredge. Excerpt; Did your childhood dreams involve a beautiful princess (you), a dashing hero, and great adventure? Every woman was once a little girl. And every little girl holds in her heart her most precious dreams. She longs to be swept up into a romance, to play an irreplaceable role in a great adventure, to be the beauty of the story. Those desires are the secret to the feminine heart. Your longings and desires are telling you of the life God created you to live. He offers to come now as the Hero of your story, to rescue your heart and release you to live as a fully alive and feminine woman. Now, in Captivating, John and Stasi Eldredge reveal the question that rests at the core of a woman's soul, "Am I beautiful?," and answer that question with a resounding, unconditional yes!
Don't wait for a Womens Book Club to read this, it is incredible!
Then you can get reading Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul, by John Eldredge. Helping men rediscover their masculine heart, Wild at Heart, a guide to understanding Christian manhood and Christian men, offers a refreshing break from the chorus of voices urging men to be more responsible, reliable, dutiful ... and dead. God designed men to be dangerous, says Eldredge. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in every boy's heart: to be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires---aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It's no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. In this provocative book, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be---dangerous, passionate, alive, and free.
