Ground Beef Recipes:

Best Nachos: (first of our ground beef recipes)

-Cover cookie tray with nachos, about 1/3 of a 900g bag

-Grate 1 cup of cheese (stronger flavor the better!)


-1 onion, chopped or sliced

-pinch of salt

-chopped garlic (fresh or from a jar) at least a Tsp, but I love more!

-1 pound ground beef (thawed or frozen)

-1/4 cup of water, and 1 Tbsp. of oil (if you use grass finished beef) It is so low in fat, I add a bit of oil so it won't still to my pan!


Fry ground beef in a skillet or frying pan with garlic, oil and water.

When it is half browned, add onions. I don't add them too soon, or they get too sweet for the nachos.

Once cooked, cover nachos with meat, and cheese. Broil, on high, in the oven for 2-3 mins. Watch them, since the chips brown quickly!


Add canned or fresh tomatoes, or salsa when sprinkling grated cheese. Then cook.


Add them after, for dipping.

Don't forget the sour cream. (low-fat if you prefer!)



Easy Pasta:

Use the same ground beef recipe as the nachos, only sprinkle the healthy meat over your choice of pasta!

HINT: Let your kids choose the pasta at the grocery store. This gets your kids excited at meal times.

I add grated cheese, on top of meat and pasta, while it is hot. My kids love this with ketchup!

Serve with fresh carrots, or salad. All your food groups, all the fun!
